Biography
Dr. Negiel Bigpond is a full-blood Euchee/Yuchi Native American and a fourth-generation minister of the gospel. Married to Jan for over 41 years, they have three children and six grandchildren. With over 30 years in ministry as an evangelist and pastor, Dr. Bigpond has shared the gospel on more than 200 Native American reservations. He currently serves as Apostle of Morning Star Church of All Nations and provides oversight to other churches on and off reservations.
A certified drug and alcohol abuse counselor, accomplished musician, and singer, Dr. Bigpond played a key role in the U.S. government’s resolution of apology to Native peoples, working with Senator Sam Brownback. Charisma Magazine recognized him as one of the Ten Most Influential Christian Leaders of 2006.
Dr. Bigpond co-founded the Two Rivers Native American Training Center, which focuses on addressing spiritual and territorial strongholds on reservations. He also founded the Native American Circle of Prayer, mobilizing prayer teams for Native issues. His media presence includes hosting “The Gathering Place” and being a frequent guest on God’s Learning Channel.
He teaches extensively on land issues, reconciliation, and forgiveness, publishing several books on these topics, including an upcoming work on the spiritual significance of forgiveness from a Native American perspective.
